About Lancashire Pine & Oak Furniture

The Lancashire Pine & Oak Furniture Company has been supplying solid wood furniture to homes, guest houses and hotels in Lancashire and Cumbria for over 25 years and our stores in Kendal and Lancaster combined with our main 20,000 sq ft showroom warehouse in Morecambe makes us the largest specialist solid wood suppliers in the area.  

All of our new pine ranges are hand stained, hand waxed on the premises by our experienced team of finishers several of whom are qualified upto level 3 NVQ in furniture finishing which we are pleased to say they undertook during their time with us.

We manufacture all of our pine and painted furniture in the UK because we believe if we can, we should. All our staff are local people of whom the majority have been with us for more than 10 years and where possible, we use local firms for the running of the business. This means that as much money and employment as possible stays within the area and local prosperity is good for all – including this company. In an era when many of the national furniture companies are foreign owned, we believe this is more important than ever.

From an environmental standing, all the pine timber that we use and any oak that is used for our bespoke furniture that is crafted in the UK is fully FSC approved. Imported furniture using oak timber is from managed forestry in North America where such things are very well regulated. We also personally visit the workshops used to ensure they meet the standards in terms of pay and conditions that we can be comfortable with.

We are a long way from being an ‘internet only’ business and our staff have many years experience in guiding customers through the furniture industry and resolving any issues that we come across. You are  more than welcome to contact us by email or phone and we are also more than pleased for customers to visit any of our stores to see items that may not, for various reasons, be seen on the website and indeed see the quality of the furniture we are fortunate enough to supply. As an independent, we are also not bound by some distant Head Office that tells us what to sell and instead can supply the products that we believe offer the best quality and best value for money. We can also ensure that you receive unbiased advise, as we do not pay individual commission which forces sales staff to ‘push’ a particular product.
